Miser’s Fish, inspired by a legend of 자린고비(玼吝考妣)
This work is inspired by a Korean old story about a strict miser who imagined the taste of a hanged fish. I wanted to explore the utilitarian function of metalsmithing today by suggesting a relationship between function and the physical sensation of imagined taste. Such a realistic shrived fish made of metals arouses visual illusion resulting in unexpected pleasures.
